Mr. Clyde S. Bear

President

Mr. Bear is President of Bear Brothers, Inc. and Bear Lumber Company. In addition to his duties as chief executive of the two corporations, he is actively involved in project management, estimating and the procurement of new construction projects. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama in 1946, and graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1968. He then served in the U.S. Army for two years including a tour in Vietnam. Employed by Bear Brothers, Inc. in August 1970 he has been engaged in the general contracting business since that time. He became President of Bear Brothers, Inc. in 1986 and president of Bear Lumber Company in 2008.

 


 

Mr. D. Rush Stallings

Vice President

Rush Stallings has been Vice President of Bear Brothers, Inc. since 1997. His primary duties are project management, but he is also a highly qualified estimator. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama in 1958. He graduated from Auburn University in 1981 with a degree in Building Science and began his construction career with Blount Brothers that same year. Rush came to work with Bear Brothers in August 1983. Mr. Stallings has been project manager on many of the larger and more complicated projects undertaken by Bear Brothers. His organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to foresee and resolve problems and conflicts while they are still manageable has made Mr. Stallings one of the most reliable and professional employees on our staff.
